Supporting Our Community
One of our proudest moments was supporting local farmers during the 2013 fodder crisis. Seeing the challenges faced by the community, we organised the import of hay from Wales and worked closely with volunteers to distribute it efficiently.
Over a five-week period, we transported more than 50 loads of fodder, helping farmers during a critical time. This reflects our commitment not only to our services but also to the communities we serve.

Charity Truck & Tractor Run
In February, Ward Waste Products Ltd. proudly organised a Charity Truck & Tractor Run, bringing together drivers, supporters, and the wider community for a cause that is deeply meaningful to our family and our business. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of all involved, the event raised an incredible €20,591.10.
All funds raised were donated to Pancreatic Cancer Ireland and Mid West Blood Bikes — two charities close to our hearts. Pancreatic Cancer Ireland was chosen in memory of our founder, Peter Ward, who passed away in 2012, while Mid West Blood Bikes was supported in recognition of the vital help they provided to our family during a time of need. Both organisations carry out vital, lifechanging work, and we were honoured to support them.
The success of the run was made possible by the generosity of our business partners, the dedication of the truck and tractor drivers, and every individual who donated on the day. We are especially grateful to the Tournafulla community, who turned out in huge numbers and showed tremendous kindness and support throughout the event. A special word of thanks also goes to our incredible team at Wards, whose hard work and commitment behind the scenes made the event possible.
This fundraiser was a true reflection of what can be achieved when a community comes together, and we are immensely proud of the support shown to these two outstanding charities.
